A little more info: The United Community Action Network (UCAN) is a 501c3 nonprofit charitable organization and registered RNO that has served the Globeville, Elyria, and Swansea communities since 2007. Our main focus has been to mitigate and improve environmental and community standards within the 80216 area.  We help to improve communication, organization, and action between community members and city resources. We serve as a community partner, organizer, consultant, and liaison to help give our neighbors stronger voices and consistent platforms in which to make positive changes within these neighborhoods. Our Board consists of community members who have lived in and/or operated businesses within the community for several years, and in some cases several generations. The letter of determination from the Internal Revenue Service clarifying our tax-deductible status registered with the Secretary of State of Colorado along with our tax identification number is available upon request.
